Your Dental Health is Our Passion

When you visit Northern Maine Dental it is not uncommon to hear patients say, “We’re all family here.” Providing quality family dental care is our passion — we go out of our way to treat each patient like a member of our family, all while providing the most up-to-date standard of care and dental technology. From the moment you walk through our door, to discussing your treatment plan, to completing procedures in our treatment rooms, your needs, concerns, and feelings are our utmost priority.

Preventive Care

Exams

Regular dental exams are important for helping you achieve and maintain great lifelong oral health. During the exam, we will perform an oral risk assessment and check up on any existing issues. In addition, our team can provide you with instructions of how to properly brush and floss your teeth, so you can maintain a healthy smile between visits to our office.

Digital Radiographs (X-Rays)

There are many benefits to digital x-rays, including reduced exposure to high radiation, more environmentally friendly, and providing us with clearer images of your tooth structures and the surrounding bone. Because these images do not have to be developed, the digital x-ray process is also more time-efficient. It allows us to view details not present in traditional x-rays, and detect problem areas early on

Cleanings

Routine dental cleanings are equally as important as daily brushing and flossing to help you maintain your best dental health. During your cleaning, we will remove any plaque and calculus from your teeth. The cleaning process will eliminate bacteria and surface stains to ultimately help prevent decay, gingivitis, and further gum disease. We then polish your teeth so you leave with a bright, healthy smile.

Sealants

Because of their location in the mouth and their textured surface, molars generally have a higher rate of developing cavities. Dental sealants coat these problem areas and create a thin layer to protect the tooth from any decay and bacteria. This treatment is easy to apply and lasts for years.

Fluoride

Fluoride is an element that helps to strengthen tooth enamel. Most tap water is already fluoridated, but some individuals require more fluoride to properly protect their smiles. Fluoride treatments can help keep your teeth healthy and strong.

Patient Education

Each member of our team is committed to providing you and your family with the resources and information you need to understand your treatment options. We are happy to answer any questions you have and will partner with you to get you on the road to better oral health!

Advanced Technology

CEREC

CEREC® is an advanced tool which uses computer technology to help design and mill custom crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers to provide same-day, final restorations. By using this system in our office, we are able to reduce the time it takes for a patient to receive their restorations and improve esthetics and health to their smile. With the CEREC system, we are able to provide patients with crowns in less than two hours — instead of two weeks.

Solea Laser

The Solea® Laser system allows us to treat cavities without the use of a drill, and even better, without the need for anesthesia. This unique treatment allows us to remove the discomfort from the anesthesia as well as the noise and vibrations from a traditional drill, resulting in a more relaxed, enjoyable, and needle-free experience. With Solea®, we will get you back to work quickly, without the sensation of numbness, and send your child back to school with peace of mind knowing that they had a pleasant experience in our office.
